The entire Studio Style line of putters is known for its optimal blend of high-performance and classic design. The Studio Style Newport 1.5 model is no exception. The putter head is precision milled from 303 stainless steel with a German Stainless Steel (GSS) inlay that is adhered with screws and a hi-tech polymer. This milled GSS insert combined with the Studio Stainless Steel (SSS) putter head gives the Studio Style Newport perfect feedback, which is a combination of superior sound and feel.
The Studio Style Newport 1.5 combines the proven performance of the Newport design with a short, flowing Santa Fe style neck for added toe flow. This combination promotes the opening and closing gate effect for players needing more toe flow. Scotty took the refined Newport head, milled from 303 stainless, and adds a German Stainless Steel (GSS) inlay, the finest stainless available, giving the Studio Style Newport 1.5 its distinct, player-approved sound and feel. The inlay, adhered with screws, not glues or epoxy, is outlined with a sound dampening polymer and performs optimally under any extreme conditions.
The Newport 1.5 design has been a Tour favorite since it was first introduced in ‘94 as the Classic 1.5. The Studio Style Newport 1.5 shares some of the same classic heritage. Back again in '07 is a shaft band which gives the precise specs of each putter, a red Studio Design grip previously reserved for Tour players only, and a personal four dot headcover inspired by Scotty’s three girls with dad making four.
