1st Production Frys Pity Order

The first production putter for Scotty was manufactured in 1991 for Fry Golf in South San Francisco, CA. Scotty had just left the Ray Cook Golf Company and had the opportunity to play golf with John Fry at Silverado Country Club. It was during this round that the two struck an agreement for his first production order. It was the launching pad that gave Cameron the confidence to begin his own business. Approximately 500-700 all-milled ''Fry'' putters were produced. They look much like early Scotty handmade models and later, Mizuno M-100 models, with a square toe, little offset neck, and rounded back flange. The toe of the face has a crown and the series number, and the heel of the face reads ''By Scotty Cameron'' in dancing letters. This putter even came with a small certificate, signed by Scotty, attesting to its authenticity. The Scotty Cameron legacy was born.
