As Scotty became more and more popular on the PGA tour, he had many more requests for hand worked models. Since a handmade putter was time intensive, Scotty would build hybrid putters, those made from machined parts, but built by hand. A player may like the particular shape of a head, but the hosel may not allow for proper fit. So Scotty would weld on a neck, heat by torch, and bend in the offset and lie angle. Depending on where he placed the neck, he could create less or more toe flow, thus creating a putter that was partly handmade and partly machine made. These putters are called S. Cameron. The putter above is a great example of an S. Cameron. The welding around the hosel and the offset of the neck indicate it was made for a player with specific requirements. Players come to Scotty because he understands their needs on tour and communicates with them in their own language.
