We have gathered a list of tips from collectors and Club Members alike that we hope will help you make an informed decision when purchasing a rare or collectible Scotty Cameron putter.
- Buy from sellers/ collectors you know or have a good reputation. Ask for references before committing to a purchase.
- Ask other collectors for advice. There are many collectors who are willing to provide information about a potential purchase and may have advice that will help you make an informed decision.
- Do some research and educate yourself by talking to others or reading available materials. “The Art of Putting” is a great reference book for much of Scotty’s work and it is available in the Studio Store on this website.
- Now many rare and collectible Scotty Cameron putters are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. Pay close attention to the elements that distinguish the certificate; the hologram, embossed seal and registry number insure you are buying a Scotty Cameron original.
- Consider buying a putter or series of putters that tell a story. The history behind the putters can be as appealing as the pieces themselves.
